We're a small security firm based in the UK. Our team comes from the capture-the-flag scene, and we started V1olet to do that kind of work for organisations that can't hire a security team of their own.
Attack and defence in one team
In security, the red team attacks and the blue team defends. Most firms do one or the other. We do both, and each side makes the other better: defenders who know how attacks actually work, and testers who know what defenders can see.
Capture the flag
CTF competitions give teams a few days to solve security challenges: breaking web applications, exploiting binaries, reverse engineering, cryptography, forensics and open-source intelligence. You're up against teams from all over the world, and the clock.
Our team, v1olet, has played international Jeopardy-style events since August 2026. Follow it at ctf.v1olet.xyz and on CTFtime.
